The Titanic Trail is a 60 – 90 minute walk from The Civic Offices to Southampton Docks. The trail is an opportunity for visitors to view some of the buildings and memorials erected in the city to remember the victims of the tragedy.

"Unemployment at the start of the 20th Century was very high in the city. The White Star Dock was built to house the 3 great liners built by Harland & Wolff. Local people hoped the arrival of the Titanic would create new jobs and revive the fortunes of the city."
724 of the crew who served on the RMS Titanic came from Southampton and the surrounding area. Just 175 survived the sinking.
